Virgil Abloh x IRAK x Krink

Oct 22, 2021

We are excited to announce a special collaboration with Virgil Abloh and IRAK. A limited custom K-60 Paint Marker in Canary Yellow.

The Virgil Abloh x IRAK x Krink marker will coincide with an anniversary edition of Sneeze, an iconic indie magazine, Virgil is co-creating this special edition Sneeze and to amplify the messages and reach of the issue, he wanted to partner with Krink and IRAK.

About Virgil Abloh

Born in Rockford, Illinois (U.S.A.) in 1980, Virgil Abloh is an artist, architect, and fashion designer. After earning a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he obtained a master’s degree in Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. It was at the Illinois Institute of Technology where Abloh was introduced to a curriculum established by Mies van der Rohe, formed from the notions of Bauhaus, that taught him to combine the fields of art, craft and design. These theories, merged with contemporary culture, makeup Abloh’s interdisciplinary practice today.

About IRAK
IRAK is a graffiti crew founded by Kunle Martins, aka EARSNOT, in 1996 in New York City. The exact date remains a mystery, as does the location, but it was somewhere between Bushwick, the banks, the cube, Prince Street, Washington Square Park, and the Bronx, (most likely near the 4 line).

Over the course of three decades, members of IRAK have become famous, been irrelevant, died, become rich, gone broke, made art, made movies, made clothes, and made an array of good and very bad decisions. Set trends, ended them, and shot ourselves in the proverbial foot. But it’s all good.

In the Post 911 era, the IRAK crew defined downtown Manhattan, and we’ve been paying for it ever since. We’re sorry, and you’re welcome?
